Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (Katunayake), you will be warmly greeted by a representative of We Ceylon Tours.

Begin your journey by heading straight to the heart of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle — Sigiriya, known for its majestic rock fortress and tranquil surroundings. On the way, you’ll witness beautiful rural landscapes, lush paddy fields, and village life.

Check in to your hotel in Sigiriya and relax after your flight. If time permits, enjoy a traditional village tour with a bullock cart ride, catamaran experience, and a local cooking demo — a perfect cultural introduction.

Rise before dawn for a short hike up Pidurangala Rock, the best place to witness the sunrise illuminating the iconic Sigiriya Rock. The panoramic views are truly magical — a photographer’s dream.

After breakfast, it’s time to explore one of Sri Lanka’s most awe-inspiring sites: the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb the stone steps past frescoes, mirror walls, and lion paws to reach the summit — once the royal palace of King Kashyapa.

In the afternoon, we journey to Dambulla, home to the magnificent Golden Rock Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This centuries-old monastery is filled with golden statues of the Buddha and beautifully painted ceilings.

After breakfast, take a relaxed morning stroll or visit a local market in Dambulla.

We then proceed to Pinnawala, home to one of the world’s largest gatherings of captive elephants. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage or Ethical Elephant Care Centres where you can watch elephants bathe in the river or roam freely in a natural environment.

Later, we head into the hill capital, Kandy — the last royal city of ancient Sri Lanka. Set beside a tranquil lake and surrounded by forested hills, Kandy is known for its Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which you’ll visit in the evening. Witness traditional Kandyan culture with an optional dance performance or stroll through the local bazaar.

After a hearty breakfast, we depart Kandy and make a special stop at Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Tower — a unique spiral tower perched on a mountain. Climb to the top for incredible 360° views of mountains, rivers, and villages far below.

The road then winds into Sri Lanka’s famous hill country. Tea plantations stretch for miles, and waterfalls cascade from green hillsides.

We reach Nuwara Eliya, often called "Little England" for its cool climate and colonial-era charm. Stroll around Gregory Lake, visit a tea factory, or relax in the beautiful gardens before settling in for the night.

Today begins early as we leave the highlands and descend toward the south.

Stop at Ella, a small mountain town known for its dramatic views and attractions like Nine Arch Bridge (optional photo stop). Enjoy a quick break and soak in the fresh air.

Continue to Udawalawe National Park, one of the best places to spot wild elephants in Sri Lanka. Take an optional safari jeep ride through the park where you might see elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, eagles, peacocks, and more.

After your exciting wildlife adventure, we begin the return journey to Colombo. Depending on your flight time, you’ll be dropped off either at your Colombo hotel or the airport with unforgettable memories in your heart.
